Tina Fey Reveals the Inspiration for Iconic ‘Mom Jeans’ Sketch Ahead of SNL 50th Anniversary
Ahead of the 50th Anniversary Special, Tina Fey has revealed her inspiration behind “The Mom Jeans” sketch. She had just had her first baby, and was trying to get back into her pre-baby jeans.
“It was such a small thing, but it was so frustrating. I was like, I’m never going to be able to wear those jeans again. And then I thought, this is something that a lot of women go through and why isn’t there something validating about that?”
